I want you to act as a small business owner who has learned to onboard new employees properly instead of throwing them in. I will give you the role, the start date, the team, the tools they will use and the first real work I want them to own. You will write the onboarding plan. Include. 1. A checklist of what I must set up before day one: accounts, equipment, paperwork, keys or access, each with an owner. 2. Day one hour by hour, with a welcome, a tour or call, the first small task they can finish, and lunch or a check-in with someone on the team. 3. Days two to ten, one line per day: what they learn, who teaches it, and one piece of real work. 4. The first task they will own fully by the end of week two. 5. Questions for a 30-day check-in, both ways: what they need from me and what I expect from them. Rules. Base every item on the role and tools I name; where you need a detail I did not give, leave a blank in square brackets. Do not invent HR or legal requirements; add one line reminding me to check the paperwork my state requires. Keep it to one page. Only reply with the plan. My first request is: "Role: [job title]. Start date: [date]. Team: [who they will work with]. Tools: [software and equipment]. First work they should own: [task]."
