UI UX Pro Max skill for Claude Code
UI UX Pro Max is a community design skill by Next Level Builder. Before Claude writes interface code, it searches a local database of styles, palettes, font pairings and UX rules and turns the matches into a design system for your product.
/plugin install ui-ux-pro-max@ui-ux-pro-max-skillUI UX Pro Max is a design skill for coding agents, published by Next Level Builder under the MIT license. A request like "build a landing page for my spa" normally gets whatever look the model falls back on. With the skill installed, Claude first runs a search over CSV files that ship with the skill and gets back a recommended page pattern, visual style, color palette, font pairing, effects and a list of things to avoid for that kind of product. Then it writes the code. For the basics of skills, read how Claude Skills work.
What is in the database
The README for version 2 lists:
| Data | Count |
|---|---|
| UI styles | 79 searchable, 50 active (glassmorphism, bento grid, brutalism, neumorphism and others) |
| Product types, each with its own reasoning rule | 192 (SaaS, banking, dental clinic, recipe app and so on) |
| Color palettes | 192, one per product type |
| Font pairings | 74, with Google Fonts imports |
| Landing page patterns | 34 |
| UX guidelines | 119 |
| Chart types | 25 |
| Tech stacks with their own guidelines | 22, from HTML + Tailwind (the default) to React, Next.js, Vue, SwiftUI, Flutter and Jetpack Compose |
Each reasoning rule carries anti-patterns for its industry. The README's example is "AI purple/pink gradients" flagged for banking. The output ends with a pre-delivery checklist: SVG icons instead of emoji, visible focus states, 4.5:1 text contrast in light mode, respect for reduced-motion settings, and layouts tested at 375, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels.
When to use it
- A new page or app where you have no design system yet and want Claude to commit to one before writing components.
- Products in a known category, where the industry rules have something to say: fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, booking.
- Projects built over several sessions. The skill can save the result to
design-system/<project>/MASTER.md, with optional per-page override files, so later sessions read the same rules.
If you already have a brand and a component library, the skill's recommendations will compete with them. brand-guidelines or your own design notes fit that case better. For a design brief without a database, use Anthropic's frontend-design. To audit and polish a UI that already exists, use Impeccable.
How to install it
Claude Code, from the author's plugin marketplace:
/plugin marketplace add nextlevelbuilder/ui-ux-pro-max-skill
/plugin install ui-ux-pro-max@ui-ux-pro-max-skill
The README recommends its own installer instead, run from your project folder. Add --global to install into ~/.claude/skills/ for every project:
npm install -g ui-ux-pro-max-cli
uipro init --ai claude
The same installer sets up Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Kiro, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI and other agents with --ai <name>. The search scripts need Python 3. They use the standard library only, install nothing and make no network calls, per the README.
How to use it
In Claude Code the skill turns on by itself when you ask for UI work. Name your product type and stack in the request, because both decide which rules apply:
Build a landing page for [product], a [product type] for [audience]. Stack: [Next.js + Tailwind]. Generate the design system first, show me the pattern, style, palette and fonts you picked, and wait for my OK before writing components.
You can also query the database yourself. This prints a full design system for a product description:
python3 .claude/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py "fintech banking" --design-system -f markdown
With a --domain flag (style, typography, chart, ux, icons) or --stack (react, html-tailwind and others) the same script searches one part of the database.
Limits
- The recommendations come from keyword search (BM25) over fixed tables, so two similar products get similar answers. Treat the output as a starting point and change what does not fit your brand.
- Python 3 must be on your machine. The skill is told to ask you rather than install it.
- Brand identity, logos, banners and slides are in a paid premium version, not in this repository.
- It is third-party code that runs scripts. Read the files before you install it, as with any community skill.
