Claude Skills for Marketing and SEO: What Each One Does

For copy, landing pages and a first SEO check, install Corey Haines' Marketing Skills. A full technical audit with Search Console data is Claude SEO's job, and AI crawler access and llms.txt are GEO-SEO's. A blog that publishes every week gets drafts and traffic-decay checks from Claude Blog.

Single tasks, like a meta description or a keyword cluster, need no skill at all; the SEO prompts and marketing prompts in the library work in any chat.

Strategy, copy and conversion

Marketing Skills covers this stage on its own.

Marketing Skills

Corey Haines' set has 50 skills, and a product-marketing document you write first feeds the rest, per its README. Try two early: seo-audit checks crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals and on-page elements and returns a report in priority order, while copywriting asks about the page's purpose, audience and offer before drafting.

Install with npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills, adding -a claude-code if you run it from inside a Claude Code session. Schema markup is its weak spot: plain page fetches can't detect it reliably, as the seo-audit SKILL.md admits, so confirm structured data in a testing tool.

Site audits

Claude SEO audits the whole site, from crawl and speed to schema; GEO-SEO looks only at AI search.

Claude SEO

It guesses the business type (SaaS, local, e-commerce, publisher or agency), splits the site among specialist agents and merges their findings into a health score. Single commands cover one page or its schema.

/plugin install claude-seo@agricidaniel-claude-seo, then /seo setup. Without Google API keys, Core Web Vitals are lab estimates and indexing is guessed from the page, according to the README; /seo google setup brings in the real data.

GEO-SEO

This one checks how AI assistants reach and quote a site. /geo crawlers maps which bots, such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, robots.txt and headers let in. /geo citability grades each passage on whether it answers a question early and makes sense alone, and /geo llmstxt writes an llms.txt ready to upload.

Install by cloning the repo and running its script: git clone https://github.com/zubair-trabzada/geo-seo-claude.git && cd geo-seo-claude && ./install.sh. Its crawler skill recommends letting GPTBot in while noting that what GPTBot reads may be used to improve OpenAI's models. Decide that before you follow the advice.

Blog content

Claude Blog drafts and maintains posts; Humanizer edits the result.

Claude Blog

From the author of Claude SEO, /blog write picks a template and drafts with sourced statistics. A separate reviewer agent scores the draft, and anything under 90 out of 100 is held back, according to the README. On an existing blog, /blog decay compares two Search Console exports and flags pages that lost clicks or impressions, and /blog factcheck checks whether each cited source says what the post claims.

/plugin install claude-blog@agricidaniel-blog adds it. Drafts get a "Key Takeaways" box by default, so check the output against your own style rules.

Humanizer

Run it once the facts are settled. Install it with /plugin install humanizer@humanizer.

Reporting

When the campaign data lives in a spreadsheet or a warehouse, Anthropic's data plugin turns it into a chart.

data

Install it in Claude Code with claude plugin install data@knowledge-work-plugins.

An audit prompt that uses your Search Console data

Marketing Skills' seo-audit only fetches pages, so it can't see which of them earn impressions. Export pages and queries first, attach both files, then paste this:

Use the seo-audit skill on https://[your-site].com.
Attached: Search Console exports of pages and queries for the
last 3 months (pages.csv, queries.csv).

1. Audit the pages with impressions first; skip pages with none.
2. For each issue, give the URL, what's wrong, the fix, and how
I'll confirm it in Search Console after the next crawl.
3. Mark anything you couldn't verify from fetched HTML, such as
structured data, and name the tool I should check it with.

The same request works with /seo audit in Claude SEO. Without a skill, the technical SEO auditor prompt runs a lighter version in any chat.
