Photoroom is built for one job: turning phone shots of products into clean catalog images. The background remover, AI shadows and AI backgrounds do most of the work, and Batch Mode on paid plans applies the same look to a whole set. Pro costs $8 a month billed yearly for 8,000 AI credits and 1,000 exports; Max, at $25, adds the video generator and Shopify.
The limit that matters is exports. Each image in a batch counts as one export, and at the cap exports pause until the next cycle unless you upgrade. The free plan allows no commercial use, so a shop needs a paid plan from day one. For a lower monthly bill on background removal, compare Pixelcut; for full manual retouching, Adobe Photoshop.
