Otter is the simplest way to get notes from a video call without taking them. Its assistant joins Zoom, Teams or Google Meet, transcribes in real time and writes a summary, and AI Chat lets you ask what was decided. The free Basic plan gives 300 minutes a month, which covers a few short meetings a week.
The free plan's real limit is length: each conversation stops at 30 minutes, and you can import only 3 recordings in total. Pro lifts that to 90 minutes per meeting and 1,200 minutes a month for $16.99, or $8.33 a month billed yearly, and students get 20% off with an .edu email. Transcription covers English, French and Spanish only. To turn transcripts into study notes, look at Gemini Notebook; to listen to documents instead, Speechify.
